Oh aye, the frilly block stands… the fancy-schmancy hors d'oeuvres… it's all a blast.
Merely… similar anybody out there, nosotros don't always take a months observe before nosotros hear that someone is coming over. If you're married to someone like my hubby… it's typically,
Oh hey… "and then & so," is going coming by tonight, so nosotros tin get over that new "work thang."
{Ok, maybe I added in the "work thang," circumlocution, because he ordinarily fills that blank in with something completely different every time. 🙂 }

• Keep the Cleaning Supplies Handy •
From June 7-July 4, receive 10% selected Clorox products at Target using the Cartwheel app.
• Have a Spot •

Although I don't encourage ataxia, or a "catch-all," sometimes information technology just has to happen. Y'all know? So my fashion of keeping information technology under control, is past designating a spot, and making certain it looks "beautiful." Yeah, really. I'm a scrap addicted to wire baskets, burlap baskets, wooden boxes, and the listing goes on. If you accept a basket, bin, box, whatev… that would be good for that catchall "stuff,"… become information technology out.
Designate a spot for information technology, and when needed at the last infinitesimal, you tin can easily put that mail that you've been procrastinating going through for a week, those loose little toys that are constantly laying around, and those "things," that tend to clutter up your house. When you designate a spot for those types of things, it will exist easier to remember to look in, when you need to notice that lost item, or to think to go-through when y'all have time over again. Plus, the cutie-patootie bin that you've designated will just expect like regular ole decor, sitting in your home. That "junk," will never be noticed.
• Low-cal a Candle •
No, of form you don't accept to do this one. But I do. I always try to make sure I have a super succulent smelling candle, that I tin can light when need be. There's just something welcoming about the smell a candle tin can put off, and even looking at a candle that'southward lit on the kitchen countertop… makes me experience "on top," of things. (Plus… information technology covers up any horrendous odour you may accept going on in the house, that you're not even aware of. For some reason, people tin't "olfactory property," their own business firm. Have you ever noticed that?)
• Make full that Dishwasher •

Now this one, cracks everyone up. When you accept a ton of nasty dirty dishes sitting out in your kitchen, and there'due south not enough time to wash them all before your guests make it… hither'southward my undercover.
The dishwasher is your all-time friend. Shove all of those dingy dishes in to the dishwasher, and I'm not talking like you normally practice. (That would take too much time.) Overlap those dishes, pile 'em on meridian of one another… just shove 'em. Even the dishes that can't go in the dishwasher. Later, yous can pull it all out and reorganize, or launder it the way you lot want to, {with the Clorox Pump 'N Clean if you desire} ;). Only for at present… they're all hidden, and put abroad. Wipe your counters downwards with the Clorox goodies, and viola. 😉
• Only Do What y'all Can •

Actually. Just do what you tin can. Yous may be surprised how often people don't fifty-fifty discover the clutter in your habitation. I know… I need to practice what I preach. I yet run around my house similar a mad woman, doing the things I mentioned above, trying to make my house "guest ready." Just I've heard commencement hand from people that have come over, with no notice fifty-fifty…
"Your house is e'er picked upward. Where is all of your junk?"
Are you lot kidding me rat at present? Ha. I have 2 little boys. Our house is Always a wreck… but, tuns out, others probably don't even call up it's as bad as you think it is. And so don't stress. If anything, follow the tips I gave you above, and you'll experience better when guests come over.
How practise you get your house set up at the last minute earlier guests go far? I'd love to know your tricks!
Until side by side time,
XO!
